RE: Where to get wood for campfires?

How about one of those propane campfires; starts quickly and just as quickly can be put out, easily transported and far less air pollution for you and the neighbors.

Search this Forum for `Grand Canyon' in the RV Parks category.
We stayed at the GC RR campground in Williams.

RE: Will my Garmin work in Canada

If you are at the Garmin try routing to Alberta and see what happens. You could then search for `restaurants' near the destination or `fuel', etc. to see what coverage you have.

RE: Do you stay at the same park every winter, or???

We are only January snowbirders and spend a week at a time in each of four parks; close to paved bike trails which is our recreation.
Friends of ours moved around early in their snowbirding days then got tired of the hassle of moving and now stay in one place. I suspect that is the situation with many others.

RE: Backing up your pop-up !

This might be a good reason to have a front hitch.
A few years ago, when we had a smaller trailer, I invested in a Wag Hitch, which most of you have never heard of.
It is a bolt on hitch that is attached where the license plate goes and the plate attaches to the hitch.
It is no longer made, unfortunately, but I still have mine that I would gladly sent to someone if they would merely pay for the shipping; probably around $15. Send me a PM if you are interested. I could probably send a photo to you with your direct email address.

RE: Thinking about buying a new TT.

To help you decide on what RV to buy you could go to www.rvknowhow.com and read Joe and Vicki’s suggestions and/or download their e-book `RV Buyers Homework’, which walks you through the process of choosing the best RV for your needs, selecting the right floor plans and features, determining the RV’s cargo-carrying and towing capacities and evaluating its livability. (Nov-Dec Highways, pg. 21)
The Better Business Bureau also has a DVD that covers the same subject and Chuck Woodbury has an ebook with similar advice that can be instantly downloaded from www.rvbookstore.com.
Better to pay a little more and be satisfied with the product once on the road.

RE: What The Best Overall Knife To Use.

Look at Victorinox by Forschner, model 40811. Good size handle. I believe this is a favorite of Americas Best Kitchens; and ours as well. We bought ours from Cutlery and More.com.

RE: Good collapsable ladder suggestions

Don't see much difference between the ladder in the back and one laying on the side. Besides, the back ladder won't mark the edge of the RV when using the ladder. The Little Giant will allow you to set it up like a step ladder alongside without touching it but still fold up into a smaller package.
It would be a lot cheaper to get used to the ladder in the back.
